Sydney Feld

Sydney Feld

Sydney has been an artist all her life, experimenting with different mediums, similar to the way we all try new things in the hope of discovering something within ourselves. Through photography, she captures parts of herself that would otherwise go unexplained. Her photography isn't just outward documentation, but an expression of the parts of herself that she leaves in the moments that she experiences.

Artist Statement

My photography is an expression of my experiences—moments that can't be explained through words alone. I find solace in being alone, spending time with myself, but there is always a looming fear of being truly lonely. I find myself in these spaces that console that fear, and find peace in the aloneness—peace in my position as an individual born from the womb of the natural world, alone, but not lonely, in my journey toward self-discovery. The emotions and sense of place that I evoke through my work are the closest I can get to expressing my authentic self, fears, and values.

Courtney Raymond

Courtney Raymond

Courtney Raymond is an acrylic painter based in Mount Pleasant, SC. Her relationship with art has been all but linear, taking breaks from her brushes for years at a time, putting art on the back burner and waiting for some spark to come up. The parts of her life that took up all her time have never had anything to do with the traditional ideas of art; work and school had always come first.

Artist Statement

I used to resonate with the whole 'academia kills artists', but honestly, academia has proved to me that art will always slip through the cracks no matter how saturated you are with everything else. I think that shift is what got me to where I am now. Currently, my art is fueled by the more nuanced bits of my experiences in the restaurant industry and in the field of STEM oriented research. Two sides of my own coin.

Jude Screnci

Jude Screnci

Jude Screnci is a mixed media artist, currently living and working in Savannah, Georgia. Originally from Sea Isle City, New Jersey, this 32-year-old painter creates paintings with all different kinds of materials, from spray paint to paper towels, to acrylic paint to plexiglass. The works on the surface have an aesthetic that is very pleasing and fun to look at, but drilling down a few layers and paying attention to detail, the viewer can find different meanings and see how Jude is working through difficult life experiences.
